(a) The position of part-time patrolman is hereby established. At no time shall there be more than ten part-time patrolmen appointed.

(b) Part-time patrolmen shall serve subject to the following regulations:

(1) Part-time patrolmen shall be in the classified service of the City, subject to civil service rules;

(2) No part-time patrolman shall work more than sixty hours per month unless there is a real and present emergency in the City;

(3) Part-time patrolmen shall not be eligible to participate in the Police Pension Fund;

(4) The City shall pay for the schooling and training of part-time patrolmen; and (Ord. 29-68. Passed 9-3-68.)

(5) Part-time patrolmen shall be over the age of twenty-one.
